IT IS NO LONGER U.S. GOVERNMENT VS NH GOVERNMENT ANYMORE

Life is a tragedy, confront it.

Life is precious, do not destroy it.

Life is life, so fight for it!

                                   Mother Teresa

WOW, it has taken me quite a few days to just think about what actually just really happened in this country.  I never thought I would live long enough to see the day when the majority of the United States government would ever evolve to becoming as illiterate as the majority of the government in the state of New Hampshire.

In a state where the average weekly wages declined 1.2% between August 2017 and August 2018, and the hourly minimum wage is only $7.5o, where a 2 bedroom apartment rental requires a minimum wage income to work a minimum of 123 hours per week, has now made NH the third-worst rated economy among the 50 states and DC.   And all because NH refuses to pay their promises, debts and needs to the state for the past 50 years.  Business Insider combined six measures of labor-market and general economic health for all the states and the District of Columbia. By putting all those on a common scale and combining them, they came up with an overall score for each state's economy.

Clarence Thomas, who was confirmed to the court in 1991 despite sexual harassment allegations by Anita Hill, received joined applause in the room. Sitting beside him, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a liberal justice, did not. All eight sitting supreme court justices were present.

The rest of the country is quickly learning the type of government that NH residents have been dealing with for decades.  When the president of the United States, once again, only makes false and baseless claims just exactly like the NH government, when he stated, “I must state that you, sir (Judge Kavanaugh) , under historic scrutiny, were proven innocent. Thank you. You were.” He turned to shake the hand of Kavanaugh, who said, “Thank you,” as the room erupted in applause again.

This judge was found neither guilty nor innocent of allegations brought by research psychologist Dr Christine Blasey Ford that, when he was 17 and she 15 in the 1980s, Kavanaugh pinned her to a bed, groped her and tried to remove her clothes while putting his hand over her mouth to stop her screams."

"In days leading up to the confirmation vote of Judge Kavanaugh, the same notion was implicit in the rationale of every senator who attempted to defend Kavanaugh without wholly dismissing Ford’s accusations — her vivid testimony that he pinned her to a bed and tried to rape her when they were teens in the 1980s:
  • “I believe that she is a survivor of a sexual assault and that this trauma has upended her life,” said Susan Collins (R-Maine), who gave Kavanaugh his crucial 50th vote.
  • “Something happened to Dr. Ford; I don’t believe the facts show it was Brett Kavanaugh," said Sen. Joe Manchin III (D-W.Va.), the only Democrat to support the nominee.
  • “That would get me off the hook of having to make a hard decision,” said Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.), one of Kavanaugh’s most loyal defenders. “I don’t know if this is a case of mistaken identity.”
It’s easy to forget that less than three weeks ago, when the mistaken-identity theory was first formulated, it was so widely ridiculed that a pundit who advanced it on Twitter subsequently apologized and offered to resign from his job. But for many cognitive researchers who study how memories actually form during traumatic events, the theory never stopped sounding ridiculous.

“The person lying on top of you — who she’d previously met — you’re not going to forget that,” said Richard Huganir, a neuroscientist at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. “There’s a total consensus in the field of memory ... If anything, fear and trauma enhances the encoding of the memory at a molecular level."

As he and several other researchers told The Washington Post, being attacked floods the brain with chemicals, including norepinephrine, which helps people remember whatever they are focused on. (Ford, a psychologist herself, even mentioned it in her testimony.)

It’s essentially the same phenomenon that makes people forever remember what they were doing when planes hit the World Trade Center on 9/11, or when they learned John F. Kennedy was shot. It’s such a basic tenet of psychology and cognitive science that some researchers watched the mistaken-identity theory spread through the Senate this month with a sense of stunned dismay.

“I watched all the hearings that took place last week and was just floored at the number of people who offered that as an explanation,” said Ira Hyman, a cognitive psychologist who specializes in traumatic memories at Western Washington University.

“This story [of mistaken identity] that’s being offered here is a way of both trying to validate sexual assault and not deny it — which is a lovely change — but at the same time create a narrative that Kavanaugh couldn’t have been the person who did it," he said. "That’s just not consistent with memory research on misidentification.”

Sexual assault victims do sometimes misidentify their attackers, he noted, has but those are almost always attacks by strangers — when the victim’s hyperactive memory has no familiar face to etch into the brain.

Lila Davachi, a cognitive neuroscientist at Columbia University, analogized the traumatic memory formation process to cranking up the contrast on a photo — central details get heightened, while those in the background get washed out.

“If someone has a gun on you you’ll remember the gun. There’s a snapshot of critical features,” she said. “In this case it was a party with friends and she knew him. It is ridiculous to say she wouldn’t remember who it was."

Asked last week if she could have mistaken her attacker, Ford testified that she is “100 percent” certain it was Kavanaugh. She vividly recalled other details of the night — the single beer she drank at the party, music in the bedroom she was pushed into, boys laughing as she was pinned to a bed — while having no memory of how she arrived or got home.

Trump has mocked her story because of these gaps, but it’s perfectly consistent with the science of traumatic memory formation.

Mara Mather, a professor at the University of Southern California, has performed laboratory studies in which volunteers are given electric shocks or subjected to loud noises while they look at a set of symbols — to find out which ones they remember while their brains are flooded with the same chemicals released during trauma.

“ I guess the Republicans have been debating why does she forget getting home, but that sounds very plausible," she said. “It focuses the brain on whatever stands out at that moment. The things that are not standing out are even more ignored.”

Like other researchers, she could not recall a single case of a sexual assault victim misremembering a known attacker — save for rare instances in which people, often children, were coached into falsely accusing friends and family members.

“According to her account, she never forgot about this,” Mather noted. “She tried to.”
Also like other researchers, she said Kavanaugh’s memory was more likely to be suspect than Ford’s, if he was as heavy a drinker in high school as many people who knew him have alleged."

"Celebrations at the 9th annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic were interrupted on Saturday with news of Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation onto the Supreme Court.

Actress Ellen Pompeo slammed the "shocking" Senate decision. "Women don't matter. We don't matter. What else is there to say? It's a good old boys club," she said on the red carpet. "I just can't believe that victims of sexual assault don't matter that much."

The only way for her to deal with the news? "We should all just get drunk. We should all be like Brett Kavanaugh and drink," Pompeo said, adding, "I am serious. How else are we supposed to deal with it?"

"While introducing Bruce Springsteen’s performance at the Tony Awards in June, De Niro received a standing ovation when he said, “I’m just going to say one thing — f— Trump! It’s no longer ‘down with Trump.’ It’s ‘f— Trump!’”

However, at Barbara Davis’ Carousel of Hope Ball in Beverly Hills on Saturday night, De Niro was able to keep things family friendly.

"I haven’t had many occasions to speak publicly since the Tony Awards,” he said while accepting this year’s Brass Ring Award. “It’s very brave of you, Barbara, to give me this opportunity. I think everyone’s afraid I’m going to come out and say, fuuuuh. Don’t worry, I won’t do it. I’m not going to say it. Not tonight anyway.”

But he did take a shot at Brett Kavanaugh. “One reminder, the drinks, wine and beer are flowing, but be careful. If you have too much, you may end up on the Supreme Court,” De Niro cracked."

"Taylor Swift, 28, slammed Republican Senate candidate Marsha Blackburn in an Instagram post.

"As much as I have in the past and would like to continue voting for women in office, I cannot support Marsha Blackburn," Swift stated. "Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me."

Swift continued: "She voted against equal pay for women. She voted against the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which attempts to protect women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape. She believes businesses have a right to refuse service to gay couples. She also believes they should not have the right to marry."

© FoxNews.com The magazine faces backlash for their criticisms. "These are not MY Tennessee values," the "Fearless" singer said online.

Swift concluded she'll be voting for Democrat Phil Bredesen for the Senate, and for Rep. Jim Cooper, a Democrat who's running for re-election.

Many fans of Swift, who reportedly owns two properties in Nashville, in addition to several other homes throughout the U.S., have urged the international star to voice her political views — particularly to denounce President Trump."

"House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Sunday she will request that the government make public the FBI's supplemental background report into sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, indicating the Democrats' fight against Kavanaugh is not over.

In a letter to her Democratic colleagues, Pelosi said her Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request also would cover "transcripts of interviews, instructions from the White House, and any communications to the FBI from Senate Republicans regarding the scope of the investigation," production of which she said was "important to set the record straight."

The Senate narrowly confirmed Kavanaugh's appointment to the high court on Saturday, days after the FBI completed its report. In her letter, Pelosi said Kavanaugh's confirmation "has wounded the very soul of justice in our country" and called it a "dark chapter."

what I would like to know is if the United States or New Hampshire's government were to ever decides to tell the entire country or state to literally jump off a bridges or commit mass suicide next, are we literally suppose to continue supporting and accepting this kind of simple but plain illiterate stupidity too?

People have been literally worried about Russia's abusive interference of power in this country and their treatment of women for decades and they very well should be.  Because it has now clearly been right here all along in the form of the majority of the Republican Party.

I will clarify that I am neither democrat nor republican. But as far as the State of NH goes, both parties need to get it together and do some thorough housekeeping in the Judicial Branch of government and with NH laws.  Because NH records have now clearly supported only one fact.  And that is that the majority of NH's "drug infested dens" have only been directly in the courthouse and the state house for the past 5 decades.  They clearly support and push through their ideals just like a Russian president no matter of what the affect or final cost will be to their own people.

“My favorite three words in our Constitution are the first three words: ‘We the People,’” Colin Powell said on Fareed Zakaria’s “GPS” on Sunday. “But recently, it’s become ‘Me the President’ as opposed to ‘We the People.’ And you see things that should not be happening.”

"Powell asked Americans and Congress to "take a hard look at yourself" to realize what "you're doing to keep these forces in check." He ridiculed not just what the Trump administration is doing, but instead what others "are not doing as the United States of America. What are we doing? We’re walking away from agreements, we’re walking away from alliances,” Powell continued.

Former U.S. Secretaries of State Colin Powell and Madeleine Albright both questioned the dramatic negative effects the Trump administration has had on the United States and its people.

“The world is watching,” Powell added. “They cannot believe we’re doing things like separating mothers and children who are trying to get across the border from south of our border. They can’t believe we’re making such an effort to cease immigration coming into the country. It’s what’s kept us alive!”
